APEx — Accreditation Program for Excellence®
Radiotherapy Centers of Kentuckiana has met the standards of performance of the ASTRO Accreditation Program for Excellence (APEx®).
APEx is a voluntary, rigorous, multi-step accreditation process developed by the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO). It evaluates a facility’s policies and procedures against sixteen consensus-based standards covering the process of care, the radiation oncology team, safety, quality management, and patient-centered care. Earning this accreditation means our practice has been independently reviewed by trained radiation oncology professionals and meets objective, verifiable expectations for safety and quality in radiation oncology.
